Greg Carmichael
Greg Carmichael serves as Executive Chairman of the Board at Fifth Third Bank. He took on the role after serving seven years as Fifth Third’s CEO and ten years as its President. Under his leadership, Fifth Third grew in assets to more than $200 billion and is recognized as one of the most innovative banks in the country. His focus on the customer experience has resulted in technological innovation, stronger analytics and more centralized, consistent operations. Prior to joining Fifth Third in 2003, he was Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Emerson Electric, a worldwide provider of technology and energy solutions. Before that, he served in several information technology and leadership roles at General Electric.

Carmichael was named President in 2012 and was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2015. He became CEO in 2015 and was elected Chairman of the Board in 2018.
He was responsible for Fifth Third's Consumer Bank, Commercial Banking, Payments and Commerce Solutions, Investment Advisors divisions, as well as the Marketing and Customer Experience functions of the Bank.
He joined Fifth Third in 2003 as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer.
