Guy made his name as one of the original “Fast Money Five” traders on CNBC's Fast Money, which spotlights news on Wall Street after closing. Alongside a roundtable of top traders, Guy analyzes the day’s news in stocks – and gives advice on investment strategies for the first trades of the next day on Wall Street in a popular segment called Your First Trade of the Day. He also serves as a Director for Private Advisor Group, a nationwide network of leading financial advisors. In addition, he is the Co-Founder of Risk Reversal Media and Co-Host of its podcasts On The Tape and MRKT Call. Guy has held numerous key leadership roles in the financial services industry. A seasoned professional, his career encompasses a broad range of roles in trading and investment, making him a respected figure among peers and viewers alike.
EARLY CAREER
Adami began his career at Drexel Burnham Lambert in 1986 and gained his experience working on the floor of the New York Mercantile Exchange.
During his tenure at Drexel Burnham Lambert, he quickly rose to Vice President and Head Gold Trader at the firm.
In 1996, he joined Goldman Sachs as Head Gold Trader and one of the many proprietary traders within the Fixed Income Currency and Commodity division.
In 2000, he joined the U.S. Equities division of Goldman Sachs where he was put in charge of the firm’s Industrial/Basic Material Group.
