Jake Chervinsky is an industry veteran and Blockchain Association’s Chief Policy Officer, where he leads the policy efforts in Washington on behalf of the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry. Prior to joining the Association, Jake was General Counsel at Compound Labs, one of the first companies to progressively decentralize. At Compound, he was involved in the algorithmic interest rate protocol where he led the way in navigating the regulatory challenges presented by DeFi. Before that, he represented individual and corporate clients in cryptocurrency-related securities and commodities litigation and government enforcement defense matters at Kobre & Kim. Jake began his legal career with Baker McKenzie LLP, where he focused on anti-corruption and anti-money laundering compliance and investigations. He also clerked for the Honorable Fernando M. Olguin of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. Today, Jake serves as a Board Member for DeFi Education Fund and a Strategic Advisor at Variant.
