Jim Lebenthal is a Partner and Chief Investment Strategist at Cerity Partners, one of the largest independent wealth management firms. He manages US Equity portfolios for clients and advises them on asset allocation and financial market conditions. He also contributes to Cerity Partners’ investment outlook as a member of its Investment Committee. Lebenthal has over 25 years of experience managing investment portfolios. Prior to joining Cerity Partners, he served as the CEO and Chief Investment Officer of Lebenthal Asset Management, where he developed, advised, and served client relationships. Before that, he was a Financial Advisor for Goldman Sachs. He is a veteran of the US Navy, and was a Lieutenant, qualifying as a nuclear submarine engineer. In addition to Cerity, he is also a regular contributor on CNBC.

He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Lebenthal was a former Lieutenant in the United States Navy, where he was awarded 2 Navy Commendation Medals and 4 Navy Achievement Medals.
He was also a former submarine engineer in the United States Navy.
