Mark Versey is the CEO of Aviva Investors, the international asset management business of Aviva Plc., and Director of the Aviva Investors Global Services Limited Board. Versey began his career as a consultant Actuary and then gained a diverse experience across markets with investment banking roles in fixed income, equities and capital markets. He also has extensive risk management and derivatives experience. Prior to joining Aviva Investors, he worked at Friends Life where he was Chief Investment Officer of the Group and Managing Director of their in-house asset manager, Friends Life Investments.
Versey joined Aviva Investors in 2014 and was appointed CEO in January 2021.
He sits on the Investment Committee of the Investment Association and chairs its Sustainability and Responsible Investment Committee.
He was Chief Investment Officer for Aviva Investors Private Markets, which grew its assets under management increasing from £37 billion to £47 billion.
He was responsible for leading and developing the Real Assets business which includes infrastructure, real estate and private debt markets.

EARLY CAREER
Versey was Chief Investment Officer for AXA and an Executive Director of Insurance Advisory at Morgan Stanley.
Before that, he was an Executive Director of Fixed Income Derivatives at Lehman Brothers.
He was Vice President of Equity Derivatives at Deutsche Bank and started his career as a Consultant Actuary at Tillinghast.
