Michael Lazorik is a Director of Global Equity and Principal Investments at the Teachers Retirement System of Texas, one of the world's largest investment funds. At TRS, he is responsible for making direct investments into private equity and venture-backed opportunities on behalf of the agency's $180 billion pension fund. Lazorik has over 20 years of extensive experience in venture, growth and private equity. Previously, he served as a Director of Corporate Development at BMC Software, an IT services and consulting company. Before that, he was the Co-Founder and Director of Dell Ventures, a corporate venture capital unit at Dell, Inc. In addition, he managed executive technology reviews, public policy, and technology business development for Dell.
