Rene Reinsberg is the Co-Founder and CEO of Celo, a mobile-first blockchain network, and President of the Celo Foundation. Reinsberg is a serial entrepreneur who has been working at the intersection of finance, technology, and development for the past 15+ years. He was the Co-Founder of Locu, a machine learning venture that spun out of MIT and was later acquired by GoDaddy. After Locu's acquisition, he served as GoDaddy's Vice President of Emerging Products, responsible for bringing new products to the company's portfolio. Reinsberg started his career in global capital markets at Morgan Stanley and also worked at McKinsey, the World Bank, TechnoServe and General Catalyst.

  • Reinsberg was a Partner at cLabs, a leading platform for ReFi builders working on Celo.

  • Prior to cLabs and Celo, he was an EIR at General Catalyst after serving as GoDaddy's Vice President of Emerging Products.

  • He led GoDaddy's new products team and partnered with leading research institutions to bring innovation from the lab to main street.

  • As a Consultant for the World Bank, he worked on various finance and community-building projects.

  • He started his career in global capital markets at Morgan Stanley, where he focused on hybrid bond structuring and structured derivatives.
