Rita Lee is Vice President and Director of Research at Brouwer & Janachowski, where she is responsible for research and portfolio development. In addition, Rita is a member of the company's Investment Committee, senior management team, and the Portfolio Management Group, responsible for research, strategy, and investment management of all client portfolios. She is also a Principal of the firm, and a financial advisor and key participant in the company's Women's Financial Council. Rita directs the Company’s outreach to women who are rebuilding their financial lives following divorce or death of a spouse. Rita is also a wealth manager for individuals and organizations, and a consultant for retirement plans, nonprofits and institutions. Prior to joining Brouwer & Janachowski, Rita worked at Northern Trust Company in Chicago, where she oversaw a group specializing in strategic planning, budgeting, financial reporting, and administration for mutual funds.
Rita co-hosts the Women's MOney Circle, a networking and support group for women aiming to achieve understanding and mastery of their finances.
At Northern Trust, Rita acted as a liaison between fund administration, trading, analytics, legal, and marketing teams.
She began her career assisting managers with equity research and financial planning with WFA Asset Management in Milwaukee.
She has a Master's Degree from St. Mary's College of California and a Bachelor's Degree from University of Wisconsin.
