Adrian Helfert is Chief Investment Officer of Alternative and Multi-Asset Portfolios at Westwood Holdings Group, a focused investment management boutique and wealth management firm. He is responsible for leading multiple teams including the firm’s multi-asset strategies team, where he is an active lead manager of several investment funds. Throughout his career, Helfert has been involved in finance—from investment banking to investment management. Prior to joining Westwood, he served as Managing Director and Senior Multi-Asset Portfolio Manager at Amundi in London, where he was responsible for Global Fixed Income strategies. During his tenure at Amundi, he also worked on absolute return, unconstrained and total return portfolios across multiple asset classes including equity and fixed income. Before that, he worked at Royal Bank of Scotland and JPMorgan’s Asset Management Group.

Helfert joined Westwood as Senior Vice President and Director of Multi-Asset Portfolios.
He led Westwood's multi-asset strategies group, including Westwood’s Income Opportunity and Flexible Income strategies, as well as Westwood’s Global Convertibles and Fixed Income strategies.
In addition to serving as Lead Portfolio Manager for Global Aggregate accounts, he was Head of Global Fixed Income strategies in the U.S.
As a member of Amundi’s Architect Committee — seven key individuals from around the world — he helped define the strategic direction of Global Fixed Income Investments.
He worked with absolute return, unconstrained and total return/benchmark portfolios.
EARLY CAREER
He worked on leveraged finance at The Royal Bank of Scotland during the height of the leveraged boom. He also worked on RBS's corporate strategy and M&A.
He was a Senior Business Analyst at Fidessa and JP Morgan Asset Management.
He also served in the U.S. Navy/Marine Corps as a Combat Medic.
