Anneka Treon is the Chief Economist International and Head of Investment Advice and Professional Clients at Van Lanschot Kempen, one of Europe’s oldest independent banks and the oldest independent financial services firm in the Netherlands. Treon has been working for the bank for the last 15 years. Prior to her current positions, she served as VLK's Managing Director and Head of Competence Center, where she led the Center in bringing together a truly integrated wealth manager which services the entire spectrum of client groups, ranging from private individuals to institutional investors and corporates. She has also acquired expertise in the areas of European real estate and fintech, Benelux equities, European infrastructure and European life sciences, research, sales and trading. Before joining VLK, she gained experience at various financial services firms like Citi, KPMG, Rothschild and Goldman Sachs. Treon has been featured in many media outlets where she explains and reviews trends across financial markets.
