U.S. DEPARTMENT OF THE TREASURY
At the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Ari Redbord worked closely with teams across FinCEN, the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and other Treasury and interagency partners on a wide range of issues involving economic sanctions, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), cryptocurrency regulation, and anti–money laundering (AML) strategies.
He collaborated extensively with U.S. regulators, Capitol Hill, and interagency stakeholders to develop and implement policies related to digital assets, financial crime prevention, and national AML frameworks.
In this role, Redbord helped design and deploy sanctions and regulatory actions against threat actors, including terrorist financiers, weapons of mass destruction proliferators, transnational drug kingpins, and other illicit networks.
He also played a key role in enforcing sanctions against rogue state actors, including Iran, Syria, North Korea, and Venezuela, supporting broader U.S. national security and foreign policy objectives.
