Ben Melkman is a Senior Portfolio Manager for Schonfeld, a multi-manager hedge fund that offers an industry leading systematic trading platform. He manages the firm’s Discretionary Macro and Fixed Income Strategy and operates out of the Bahamas as Schonfeld seeks to further expand its global footprint in this region. Melkman is a hedge fund manager and business builder known as one of the key macro players in the world. He was the Founder and CEO of Light Sky Macro, a U.S.-based private hedge fund. Before that, he served as a Portfolio Manager and Partner at Brevan Howard, one of the leading absolute return and hedge fund managers. He is known for his lead role at Brevan's $500 million Argentina fund, which delivered an 18% return since its inception.
