Bill Stromberg is the former CEO and President of T. Rowe Price, a premiere global asset management organization. Under his leadership, the firm led significant initiatives such as the launching of T. Rowe Price Investment Management and the firm's significant global expansion. He spent 35 years at the firm and stepped down as CEO in 2021. He was succeeded by then President and Head of Investments, Rob Sharps. After his retirement, he served as Non-Executive Chair of the Board and Member of the Executive Committee for T. Rowe Price from December 2021 through May 2024. Prior to joining the Price Group in 1987, he was a Systems Engineer for Westinghouse Defense. Today, Stromberg serves as the Interim Chief Investment Officer at Johns Hopkins University.
Stromberg served as CEO of T. Rowe Price from 2016 to 2021.
He was Price Group’s Head of Equity from 2009 to 2015 and the Head of U.S. Equity from 2006 to 2009.
Earlier in his career at Price Group, he served as a Director of Equity Research and as a portfolio manager.

While at Hopkins, Stromberg became one of Johns Hopkins Blue Jays' most decorated athletes of all time, setting long-standing records for both the baseball and football teams.
Beyond Hopkins, he is considered to be one of the best wide receivers in NCAA Division III history as the holder of six national and thirteen school records.
Stromberg was inducted into the Johns Hopkins Hall of Fame and then the College Football Hall of Fame in 2004, and was, as of 2017, the only Hopkins football player to be inducted there.
After graduation, he signed as a free agent with the Philadelphia Eagles, played a few preseason games before pulling a hamstring, and was ultimately cut before the 1982 season began.
