Brian Higgins is the Co‑Founder and Managing Partner of King Street Capital Management, a leading global alternative asset manager and hedge fund overseeing more than $29 billion in assets across public and private credit markets. As Co‑Portfolio Manager, he directs the firm’s investment strategy and business development while serving as Chair of the Management Committee, Global Investment Committee, and Real Estate Investment Committee, and as a member of the Risk and Operating Committees. Since co‑founding King Street in 1995, Higgins has been instrumental in building one of the premier credit and special situations investment platforms in the industry. Prior to launching the firm, he worked at First Boston in both the Special Situations Fund and the Distressed Securities Group, gaining deep expertise in distressed debt and event‑driven investing.

Higgins started King Street in 1995 with fellow billionaire O. Francis Biondi, whom he met on First Boston's high-yield desk in the late 1980s.
He serves as the Co-Portfolio Manager of King Street focused on handling distressed securities, real estate investments and credit.
He is Chair of the Management Committee, Global Investment Committee, Real Estate Investment Committee, and is a member of the Risk Committee and Operating Committee.

Higgins began his career with First Boston's Merchant Banking Group working on leveraged buyouts, bridge loans and recapitalizations.
Prior to King Street, he helped form the First Boston Special Situations Fund, where he shared responsibility for trading and investment execution.
He was also a part of the Distressed Securities Group within First Boston's High Yield Department.
