Chris Cady is an equity index trader that specializes in statistical modeling, regression analysis, machine learning, as well as alpha generation with large scale datasets. Chris is a Technical Consultant and Trading Strategies Developer for Steidlmayer Software, where he is responsible for data segmentation levels and modeling for AI probability price maps. Previously, he was a trader and quantitative developer on the Intercontinental Exchange, a firm that helps digitize the energy markets and provide greater price transparency. He was also a quantitative trading researcher at web services group Powerweave. Additionally, Chris is a Bloomberg Technical development consultant, and has cultivated advisory relationships with top US government regulators such as SEC and CFTC.
EARLY CAREER
During his time at ICE as a volatility trader, he was a featured panelist for the Market Technicians Annual Symposium 2011-2013.
He served as an equity index and commodities trader for NYBOT and CME-IOM for over 20 years.
He had a front row seat throughout the market’s transition from floor to electronic trading.
In 1984, he became a student of Victor Sperandeo, aka Trader Vic of Market Wizards fame.
In 1991, he became a student of Peter Steidlmayer, creator of Market Profile.
He started his career in the trading floor in 1980 from Walter Frank Sr., then-chairman of the NYSE.
