Dan Greenhaus is Chief Economist and Strategist of Solus Alternative Asset Management, a private investment advisory specializing in event-driven, distressed and special situation investment opportunities. He is an experienced strategist with a track record of accurate market observations and portfolio recommendations. Prior to joining Solus, he served as Chief Strategist at BTIG, where he was responsible for analyzing economic and market trends and helping clients formulate investment strategies. Before that, he was a Chief Economic Strategist at Miller Tabak, a leading provider of specialized research, proprietary investments and investment banking. He began his career with Bear Stearns and later worked at Credit Suisse First Boston in the high yield research department.

Dan spent several years in Miller Tabak’s Market Strategy Group working with the firm’s equity and bond market strategists.
His primary duties involved formulating top-down macro research related to a variety of markets and economies and applying that research to the investment process.
He has extensive understanding of various markets including equity and credit, economics, options and capital markets.
