Erich Gerth is the CEO of RBC BlueBay Asset Management, where he oversees RBC’s global asset management business outside North America. In addition to his CEO role, he serves as an Executive Director of RBC Global Asset Management (UK), a Board Member of BlueBay Asset Management, and a member of both the RBC Global Asset Management Leadership Committee and the RBC European Executive Committee. With more than 35 years of experience in financial services and over 20 years leading global asset management businesses, Gerth has built a career spanning institutional and retail markets across traditional and alternative asset classes. Before joining BlueBay, he held senior executive roles at Aviva Investors, including Chief Executive for Asia-Pacific, Head of Global Business Development, and member of the firm’s Executive Committee.

EARLY CAREER
Erich Gerth has a long track record of global asset management leadership, having directed businesses across the United States, Europe, and Asia.
Before joining RBC BlueBay, he served as Chief Executive of Asia Pacific and Global Business Development at Aviva Investors, where he oversaw all APAC operations, including traditional long-only strategies and alternative investment portfolio management.
Prior to Aviva, Gerth was the CEO of Janus Capital International, the international arm of the NYSE-listed Janus Capital Group, where he led the firm’s global distribution, strategy, and expansion efforts outside the United States.
Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, serving as Vice President with responsibility for managing the U.S. retail mutual fund and managed accounts distribution teams, including both internal and external sales organizations.
