Jeff Sprecher is Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Intercontinental Exchange. In addition to expanding through acquisitions, he has led numerous organic growth initiatives to modernize markets. He has led multiple strategic initiatives that have enabled ICE to expand from a single asset class—energy—into a broad range of asset classes today. Sprecher also serves as Chairman of the New York Stock Exchange. His leadership has been recognized by Business Week, Institutional Investor, and a number of other publications.

  • Sprecher was named one of Barron's World's Best CEOs for six consecutive years.
  • He was named Best CEO for Brokers, Asset Managers, and Exchanges in Institutional Investor’s annual poll for 2019 and in years prior.

  • He acquired Continental Power Exchange (CPEX), the predecessor company to ICE, in 1997 to achieve his vision of an open, transparent electronic energy marketplace.
