Michael Gildenhorn is Senior Managing Director and Director of Portfolio Management at Chevy Chase Trust, a leading investment manager and think-tank for financial investors and institutions. Michael provides portfolio and wealth management advice to high net worth and institutional clients of the firm. As Director of Portfolio Management, he is responsible for ensuring that the firm's best investment thinking is reflected in client portfolios in a timely manner, consistent with clients' investment objectives and financial goals. In addition to his investment organization leadership, Michael is a Senior Portfolio Manager and has continued to be a trusted advisor to families and institutional clients for more than 35 years. Michael has also been recognized numerous times by Washingtonian Magazine as one of the area's top investment managers.
Previously, Michael served as President of Asset Management Investment Advisers until 2005, when the firm was acquired by Chevy Chase Trust.
Prior to entering the financial services industry, Michael practiced corporate and real estate law.
He graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor’s in Economics, and received his Juris Doctor from George Washington university.
