Paul Lisiak is Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Metropolitan Partners Group, a private credit fund manager based in New York. At Metropolitan, he has completed over 150 transactions and deployed over $2.4 billion of capital. He oversees the firm's investment strategy and execution, leads the firm's sourcing and research efforts and co-manages the firm's growth. Paul has been a direct investor in over 90 private companies over the past 20 years. He has played an integral role with a number of companies in the development of liquidity opportunities and preparation for incremental institutional investment. Prior to founding Metropolitan Ventures with the backing of the Man Group, Paul served as a Portfolio Manager at Lazard Asset Management.
Lisiak oversees all of the firm's investment activities, operations, fundraising, investor relations, and strategic growth initiatives.
Metropolitan provides debt capital to small and mid-sized non-sponsored businesses in the United States, unconstrained by industry or asset class.
The firm serves as the first institutional capital provider to its borrowers and offers customized credit solutions that help companies deliver on their business objectives.
EARLY CAREER
He began his career at Lazard Asset Management as a member of the Global High Yield team that was a regular higher performer among Lipper-rated managers.
He then served as the Managing Director of Metropolitan Venture Partners, responsible for deal origination and deal execution across the firm’s offices in New York and London while investing two funds anchored by the Man Group.
He occupied board seats for multiple investments made by MetVP and acted as an interim C-level operating executive to build infrastructure and operational discipline for three portfolio companies.
