R.P. Eddy is the Founder and CEO of Ergo, one of the world's leading intelligence and advisory firms. Eddy is a globally recognized national security and intelligence expert that advises intelligence agencies, major corporations and investors. Prior to entering the private sector, he had a multi-decade career in national security, including serving as Director at The White House National Security Council and a Senior US and UN Diplomat. He also served as a Managing Director at the Gerson Lehrman Group and a Team Leader at Monitor Group. Eddy is the Founder of the Center for Policing Terrorism, which advised NYPD and LAPD counterterrorism after 9/11.

GOVERNMENT CAREER

  • Eddy served as a Director at the White House National Security Council, where he led the process to build the first White House policy on pandemic diseases.

  • He was Chief of Staff to US Ambassador to the UN Richard Holbrooke and Senior Advisor to the Secretary of Energy.

  • He was also a Senior Policy Officer to UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, where he was an architect of the Global Fund to Prevent AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria, which has since saved over 20 million lives.

  • He was a member of the State Department Senior Executive Service and achieved the diplomatic rank of Minister-Counselor.


EARLY CAREER

  • Eddy has a unique blend of expertise across national security, global investment and enterprise strategy.

  • He built and ran a division of Gerson Lehrman Group to help corporates and institutional investors make decisions on international risk, global macro issues, and complex studies.

  • He also served as the Co-Chairman of the Mayor of Los Angeles’ Advisory Board on Counterterrorism. 

  • He has been a Senior Fellow or associate at Harvard University, the Madison Policy Forum, and the Manhattan Institute.
