Rob Shafir is a veteran investment banker and the CEO of Sculptor Capital Management, the successor to the storied hedge fund Och-Ziff. He is a member of Sculptor Capital's Partner Management Committee and an Executive Managing Director and a member of the firm's Board of Directors. Shafir served in various capacities at Credit Suisse, most recently as Chairman and CEO of Credit Suisse Americas and Co-Head of Private Banking Wealth Management, which included oversight of Asset Management. Before that, he worked at Lehman Brothers for 17 years serving as Head of Global Equities as well as a member of their Executive Board. Prior to joining Lehman, he worked at Morgan Stanley in the preferred stock business within the fixed income division.
EARLY CAREER
During his tenure at Credit Suisse, he was credited with the Hedging Griffo strategy.
He also held other senior roles at Lehman Brothers, including Head of European Equities and Global Head of Equities Trading
He also played a key role in building Lehman's equities business into a global, institutionally-focused franchise.
