Ron Basu is Managing Director and Private Wealth Advisor at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management. He is a Founding Member of Team Global and also serves as Senior Institutional Consultant and International Client Advisor. He focuses his practice primarily on the key areas of asset allocation, cross-border experience, global investment trends and institutional consulting. Basu has nearly three decades of experience in the private wealth management industry. He has earned numerous awards and accolades from prominent publications such as Barron's and Forbes. He was also named to Morgan Stanley's esteemed Chairman's Club in 2025, an elite group composed of the firm's top Financial Advisors. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Basu worked at Smith Barney, UBS, Lehman Brothers and several other firms.

EARLY CAREER
Basu has gained extensive experience working with clients from around the world.
He began his career at Smith Barney in their private wealth division in 1991.
He later moved to UBS where he continued to build his advisory business with various global family offices, hedge funds and ultra high net worth individuals.
He also worked as a Managing Director at Lehman Brothers' Private Client Services Division prior to joining Morgan Stanley.
