Stephen Castellano is the Founder of Ascendere Associates, an equity research and financial modeling consulting firm. In addition to developing equity research for family offices and other clients, Steohen has consulted for a wide range of startups, established businesses, and global consulting firms. Prior to founding Ascendere, he spent several years as an equity research analyst with generalist coverage on the steel industry and telecom services industries. He also provided analytical support for numerous independent valuation, consulting and investment banking studies, including mergers, secondary offerings and IPOs. Stephen has more than 25 years of experience in equity research, financial modeling, management consulting, startup consulting, and diversified buy side and sell side equity research.

His consulting clients range from FinTech, SaaS, and eCommerce startups to institutional investors and a top 3 management consulting firm.
At Boston Private Value Investors, he built sophisticated screens for
stock idea generation and also provided general fundamental equity research coverage.
He developed quantitative models for stock idea generation and conducted general fundamental equity research at PaineWebber, Warburg Dillon Read and Credit LyonnaisSecurities, and Boston Private Value Investors.
