Timothy Johns is the Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Symons Capital, an equity risk manager that seeks to build durable wealth through protection-focused portfolios. In his role, Tim is primarily responsible for Symons Capital's business development while contributing to the strategic vision of the business and operations. Prior to joining Symons, he was a Vice President and Relationship Manager at First National Bank, a $33B commercial bank in Pittsburgh. At FNB, he concentrated on helping small to mid-sized businesses succeed by managing their cash flow, and provided credit for growth, accelerated receivables, and controlled disbursements. Throughout his career, Tim has delivered value-added ideas and helped hundreds of commercial clients accomplish their financial goals, while identifying and protecting their businesses from risk.
At FNB, he focused on companies in Western Pennsylvania and the Ohio Valley with annual revenues from $2 million and up.
He also specialized in commercial banking sales, cash flow strategy and optimization, and complex credit structure, among others.
He was also an Assistant Vice President at First Commonwealth Bank, where he managed credit analysts in corporate finance as well as C&I.
At PNC Financial Services, he held various roles including Credit Officer, Loan Administrator, and Risk Management Representative.
He maintains the FINRA Series 65 registration, making him a qualified investment adviser representative.
He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Business.
He also earned a Masters of Business Administration degree from Duquesne University.
