Tony Fratto has extensive experience in U.S. government service, including roles as Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of the Treasury and White House Deputy Press Secretary under President George W. Bush.
At Treasury, he led the administration’s communications strategy on major economic policy issues, including financial crises, tax policy, and international development programs, while shaping U.S. policy toward multilateral development banks, debt, and relations with Africa.
Fratto worked closely with the President and senior economic, national security, and legal teams, providing guidance and communicating complex domestic and international policy decisions to national and international media.
He also held senior roles under three Treasury Secretaries, coordinating high-level activities such as G7 and G20 finance ministers meetings, IMF and World Bank engagements, congressional testimony preparation, media interviews, and speechwriting.
