Andreas Halvorsen
Andreas Halvorsen is the Co-Founder and CEO of Viking Global Investors, one of the most successful equity-focused hedge funds in the world. He is responsible for all firm-wide matters and oversees the firm’s investment activities, including capital allocation and risk management. Halvorsen is a prominent hedge fund manager known for his disciplined investment approach and ability to identify long-term opportunities. He has established himself as a leader in the financial industry and employs fundamental analysis to select investments across industries and geographies. Halvorsen began his career at Morgan Stanley, where he worked in the investment banking division. He later joined Tiger Management, the legendary hedge fund founded by Julian Robertson, where he held several roles including Managing Director.
In 1999, Halvorsen co-founded Viking Global Investors alongside two other Tiger alumni, David Ott and Brian Olson.
