Chase Lochmiller
Chase Lochmiller is Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Crusoe Energy, a company that aims to eliminate routine flaring of natural gas and reduce the cost of cloud computing. The company is passionate to help the oil industry operate more efficiently, achieve better relationships with communities and regulators, and improve environmental performance. Chase is an avid tech enthusiast that is passionate about enabling new technologies like AI and blockchain to positively impact people’s lives. Prior to founding Crusoe, he was a General Partner at Polychain Capital, a $1B fund investing in blockchain technologies, digital assets and energy-intensive computing applications. He was previously a quantitative researcher and trader at Jump Trading and GETCO, where he developed and managed a portfolio of algorithmic trading strategies.

EARLY EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE
He was Polychain’s Head of Trade Execution. He joined when the firm had $25M AUM and then left when the business had over $1B AUM.
Prior to Polychain, he worked at Jump Trading, where he was a quantitative researcher and trader, developing and managing a portfolio of proprietary trading strategies.
He was also a Managing Director and Head of Algorithmic Trading at GETCO, where they routinely traded over 10% of the daily volume in the US stock market.
He was recognized by Goldman Sachs as one of the 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs of 2021 at its Builders + Innovators Summit.
