Chen Zhao is a recognized and experienced strategist with a long-term record of covering global macroeconomic trends and financial markets. Chen is the Founding Partner and Chief Global Strategist at Alpine Macro, a leading independent global research and strategy firm. In his role, Chen focuses on providing differentiated market insights, contrarian views and profitable investment strategy recommendations that help investors manage risk and make better informed investment and asset allocation decisions. Prior to co-founding Alpine, he was Co-Director of Global Macro Research at Brandywine Global Investment Management, a provider of investment advisory and fund management services. Chen is known to numerous investors worldwide as the long-serving former Chief Strategist of BCA Research where he spent 23 years as a Partner, Managing Director and Chief Global Strategist. At BCA, he developed and wrote the firm’s China and Emerging Markets publications in the 1990s.
