Dr. Darrell Duffie is the Adams Distinguished Professor of Management and Professor of Finance at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, Professor (by courtesy) at the Department of Economics, and Senior Fellow (by courtesy) at the Hoover Institution. A respected expert in the field of finance and economics, Dr. Duffie has been recognized with research awards, fellowships, and teaching awards. His recent work focuses on the design and regulation of capital markets. His research interests also include over-the-counter markets, banking, financial stability, credit risk, valuation and hedging of derivative securities, financial market infrastructure, the term structure of interest rates, financial innovation, security design, market design, and fintech payments. In addition to academia, Dr. Duffie has been a member of numerous academic editorial boards and an adviser on financial markets to a range of bodies.

EARLY CAREER
Dr. Duffie was the 2009 President of the American Finance Association, and a former member of the board of Directors of Moody's Corporation.
He also chaired the Financial Stability Board's Market Participants Group on Reference Rate Program.
He served as project advisor to the G30 Working Group on Digital Currencies and, with Dr. Elizabeth Economy, co-directs the Hoover Institution Working Group on Digital Currencies.
He has been an advisor for the World Economic Forum, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, the Society of Financial Econometrics, and the Scientific Councils of the Swiss Finance Institute and the Duisenberg Institute, among many other international bodies.
His research is published in Econometrica, Journal of Political Economy, and Journal of Finance, among other journals.
