Jack Forehand
Jack Forehand, CFA, CFP, is the President of Validea, an independent investment research firm focused on developing quantitative strategies and investing tools based on the methodologies of legendary investors and other proven approaches. In his role, Jack is responsible for Validea's overall operations and portfolio management, as well as co-developing the firm’s guru-based models and investing systems. He is also the Co-Founder of Validea Capital Management, an asset management firm running systematic strategies for private clients. In addition, he also writes the Practical Quant column on Validea and is Co-Host of the Excess Returns investing podcast.

Jack Forehand is a CFA Charterholder and a CFP® Professional.
He is the Co-Author of The Guru Investor: How to Beat the Market Using History's Best Investment Strategies.
Prior to founding Validea, he spent five years developing quantitative models for an internet research company.
He also worked as a controller for a small company and an analyst for a Big Five accounting firm.
Jack graduated from the honors program of the University of Connecticut with a B.A. in Economics.
