Julia Friedlander is the CEO of Atlantik-Brücke, a leading nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that aims to strengthen transatlantic cooperation between Germany, Europe and America. Julia is an expert on transatlantic economic relations, EU economic policy, and financial regulation and sanctions. Prior to joining Atlantik-Brücke, she was a C. Boyden Gray Senior Fellow and Director of the Economics Statecraft Initiative at the Atlantic Council's GeoEconomics Center. She previously served as senior policy advisor for Europe in the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Terrorism and Financial Intelligence, where she collaborated with EU partners on global sanctions policy and combatting illicit finance. She was also Director for the European Union, Southern Europe and Economic Affairs at the National Security Council, and previously held multiple analytical positions within the Central Intelligence Agency.
