Julia Pollak Chief Economist at ZipRecruiter, an industry-leading employment marketplace that uses AI-driven smart matching technology to connect millions of all-sized businesses and job seekers. In her role, Julia leads ZipRecruiter's economic research team, which provides insights and analysis on the current labor and market trends, and the future of work. Prior to joining ZipRecruiter, she was an Assistant Policy Analyst at the RAND Corporation and an Adjunct Economics Instructor at Pepperdine University, where she taught principles of microeconomics, principles of macroeconomics, and intermediate microeconomics to undergraduates. Today, Julia is also a contributor to Barron’s and a member of the Forbes Human Resources Council. She is also a drilling reservist in the U.S. Navy.
EARLY CAREER
Julia was an Assistant Policy Researcher at the RAND Corporation, a research organization that develops solutions to public policy challenges.
He was a Research Assistant for Defense Studies at The Heritage Foundation, where she conducted Research on Defense strategy, budgets, and military readiness.
At The Heritage, she also organized public events with government officials, military leaders, and diplomats.
