Marcos Douer is Managing Director, Financial Advisor, and Internal Client Advisor at The Madison Group at Morgan Stanley. He has built and led The Madison Group, a 14-member team providing a full suite of wealth management services to ultra and high net worth clients around the globe. Douer has more than 35 years of experience in senior trading and investment management positions in both developed and emerging markets, with primary focus on foreign exchange and fixed income markets. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, he held leadership roles at two prominent hedge funds, including serving as Portfolio Manager at Moore Capital, and President and CIO at Precision Asset Management. He also served as President of J. Safra Investments, where he managed investments for Mr. Joseph Safra in the areas of foreign exchange, global fixed income and emerging markets.

At Moore Capital, he was responsible for managing investments covering foreign exchange, global fixed income and emerging markets.
He was President and CIO of MD Capital Management, where he built and investment advisory company and offshore macro hedge fund.
He handled all proprietary trading for Commercial Bank of New York, and advised its customers on hedging foreign exchange risk.
He served as Managing Director and Head of Treasury at HSBC, responsible for the overall management of HSBC's $100B balance sheet and interest rate management.
He oversaw $30 billion in investment portfolios, the U.S. Securities Lending Group, the money desk and the overall interest rate risk of HSBC.
He also had supervisory responsibility for the Treasury departments of HSBC USA Mexico and Panama.
He was a participant of HSBC's Asset Liability and Pension Investment Committees, and chaired the Tactical ALCO.
