Mark Gallogly is the Co-Founder and Managing Principal of Three Cairns Group, a mission-driven investment and philanthropic firm focused on the climate crisis. Gallogly is a private equity mogul and the Co-Founder of Centerbridge Partners, a global alternative investment firm with over $38 billion in capital under management. In 2020, he retired to focus on public policy issues such as climate change. His 35-year career in investing and finance included serving as Global Head of Private Equity at The Blackstone Group. He has served on numerous public and private corporate boards of directors, as well as the boards of several not-for-profit institutions.

Throughout his 35-year career in investing and finance, Gallogly has been involved in a broad spectrum of industries, businesses and investment cycles.
At Centerbridge, he focused on overseeing the firm's investment activities and served as a member of the Management Committee.
Prior to founding Centerbridge with Jeff Aronson, he spent 16 years with the Blackstone Group most recently as Senior Managing Director, Head of Private Equity, and member of the firm's Management Committee.

Most recently, he served at the U.S. State Department as an Expert Senior Advisor to Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry, where he worked on engaging the private sector and financial institutions around climate action.
He served at the U.S. State Department as an Expert Senior Advisor to John Kerry early in the Biden Administration; on President Obama’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness (2010-2012); and on the President’s Economic Recovery Advisory Board (2008-2010).
