Michael Hudson is a Distinguished Research Professor of Economics at the University of Missouri, Kansas City. He is a longstanding Wall Street veteran who acts as an economic advisor to various governments worldwide, including the United States, Canada, Mexico, Iceland, Latvia, and China. Hudson also presents to groups reflecting diverse academic, economic, and political constituencies. In addition, he has authored more than 10 books on the politics of international finance, economic history, and the history of economic thought.

  • Hudson was listed by the Financial Times as one of six economists who predicted the 2008 economic crisis.
  • He served as Chief Economic Adviser to the 2008 US presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich.
