Robert Friedland is the Founder and Executive Co-Chairman of Ivanhoe Mines. He is a world-renowned financier, entrepreneurial explorer, and innovator with over 25 years of experience in natural resources and technology ventures. Friedland has successfully built an impressive portfolio of companies whose initiatives have led to some of the world’s most significant mineral discoveries and mine developments. His companies also had significant contributions to disruptive technologies as well as economic growth in established and emerging markets in the Asia Pacific Region, Southern Africa, and the Americas.
