Sandra Kartt, CFA, is Managing Director of Investments at ImpactAssets, an impact investing trailblazer. In her role, she oversees the team responsible for sourcing, due diligence and selection for investment options spanning asset classes and impact themes. She also serves as Deputy Chief Investment Officer for ImpactAssets Capital Partners, where she leads the investment teams, overseeing research and portfolio management. Prior to joining ImpactAssets, Kartt served as a Risk Officer at Developing World Markets, where she spearheaded their initial private equity valuation work before focusing on private debt investments in financial inclusion-focused businesses throughout Asia, Africa & Latin America. She also worked at Keefe Bruyette & Woods, a boutique investment bank, as a sell-side equity research analyst covering the U.S. banking industry.
Kartt is responsible for the investment selection of impact investment opportunities that seek to generate both financial and social or environmental returns.
With expertise in social equity and microfinance, she oversees portfolio management for ImpactAssets' two Impact Notes, and supports ImpactAssets’ field building efforts.
She also partners with institutional clients to create positive change for the world through impact investing.
Prior to her current role, she oversaw investment management for ImpactAssets' Giving Fund.
EARLY CAREER
During his tenure at Developing World Markets, he held various roles including Consultant, Credit Analyst, and Vice President of Credit.
He focused on credit risk management, private equity portfolio management, and social impact analytics.
At KBW, he was involved in the management of proprietary bank coverage, industry strategy research, and investor support.
