With a career rooted in both traditional finance and crypto native markets, Nalval specializes in navigating the complex market structures of the decentralized economy. Before founding Parataxis Capital, he served as a Portfolio Manager with the digital asset hedge fund LedgerPrime and as the Head of Asset Management at The Element Group, a digital asset merchant bank. He also spent 8 years at Goldman Sachs, most recently serving as a trader within the firm’s elite macro trading group. Thejas Nalval’s expertise in digital asset management is built upon more than a decade of leadership within the world’s most prominent financial institutions.
Before entering the blockchain sector, Nalval served as a Vice President of Macro Trading at Goldman Sachs, where he was responsible for managing a proprietary index rebalance book.
His tenure at Goldman also included extensive experience managing sales and trading coverage for institutional customers, specifically focusing on program trades, ETFs, and synthetics.
Prior to his role at Goldman Sachs, he was the Vice President of Market Risk at J.P. Morgan, where he directed risk management strategies for the North American cash and equity derivatives businesses.
