Todd Harrison is the Founding Partner and Chief Investment Officer of CB1 Capital, a pioneering investment firm focused on cannabinoids and the rapidly evolving cannabis industry. With over three decades of experience on Wall Street, Harrison brings deep expertise in risk management, derivatives, and financial market strategies to the firm’s investment approach. Prior to launching CB1 Capital, Harrison founded and served as CEO of Minyanville Media, an Emmy Award-winning financial media company providing coverage and analysis of global markets. Earlier in his career, he was Vice President on the worldwide equity derivatives desk at Morgan Stanley, where he honed his expertise in derivatives, structured products, and market strategy. Harrison is also the author of The Other Side of Wall Street, a book that explores insights from his decades of experience in finance. He has received two Emmy Awards from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and frequently lectures at top academic institutions.

EARLY CAREER

  • Todd Harrison began his career as Managing Director of Derivatives at The Galleon Group and later served as President of the $400 million hedge fund Cramer Berkowitz, where he specialized in derivatives and structured investment strategies.

  • At Minyanville Media, he oversaw all operating divisions, including enterprise relationships, digital platforms, investment products, newsletters, gaming platforms, production studios, and live events. 

  • Harrison was featured in the 20th-anniversary documentary of Oliver Stone’s film Wall Street and, in 2008, received an Emmy Award from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences as Executive Producer of World in Review, the first and only animated business news show.

  • In addition to his professional roles, Harrison has lectured at prestigious institutions such as Harvard University, Syracuse University, New York University, and The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

  • He has also conducted research on financial market learning tendencies among college students, reflecting his long-standing commitment to education and market literacy.
