Bilal Hafeez is the Founder, CEO, and Head of Research at Macro Hive, a leading independent macro research firm, where he also hosts the Macro Hive Conversations podcast. Bilal is an experienced market strategist, currency expert, and economist, who has also pioneered FX investment and smart beta benchmarks. He spent over twenty years doing research at big banks – JPMorgan, Deutsche Bank, and Nomura, where he had various “Global Head” roles and did FX, rates and cross-markets research. In addition, he is an experienced Professor of Finance with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry. During his sell-side career, Bilal was rated #1 market strategist by Euromoney and Institutional Investor for most years between 2004 and 2013.
