Daniel Strachman is a Managing Director of A&C Advisors, a boutique strategic consulting firm focused on the investment management industry. A financial services expert with more than 20 years of Wall Street experience, Daniel has become a recognized authority in all aspects of the investment management industry including corporate governance, fund structuring, product development, operations, fund administration, marketing and distribution. Throughout his career, he has worked in hedge fund and mutual fund product development and marketing as well as institutional brokerage. He is also an expert in all aspects of retail and institutional distribution for both traditional and alternative investment products and services. Daniel’s articles have appeared in The Financial Times, The Boston Globe, Interview Magazine, The New York Post and American Banker. He has appeared on CNBC, Bloomberg, National Public Radio and the BBC.
Daniel has extensive experience developing, leading and implementing strategy, marketing, product, business development and operations teams.
He has provided consulting services to companies around the world to help make their organizations expand and prosper in both good and bad economic times.
He is the Co-Founder of the educational web-porta; HEDGEAnswers.com, the online community Operations for Alternatives, and The Investment Management Due Diligence Association.
He is a registered Director under the Directors Registration and Licensing Law, 2014 of the Cayman Islands.
He worked at firms including Cantor Fitzgerald & Company, Morgan Stanley & Company, Orbitex Group of Funds and Apex Fund Services.
He is formerly an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers University Business School where he taught graduate level courses on corporate finance and investment analysis.
He also taught at New York University's School of Continuing Education and has lectured at the New York Society of Security Analysts.
He also served as an expert witness in a number of investment management litigation cases focused on fund marketing, redemption policies and structuring.
A published author of nine books on investment strategy, the hedge fund industry, and investment management , Daniel’s books have been translated into Japanese, Chinese and Korean.
