Heather Brilliant is the CEO of Diamond Hill Capital Management, a valuation-disciplined boutique asset manager. Heather oversees all aspects of the business including setting and delivering on the firm’s strategy, establishing effective leadership, and ensuring a sound investment philosophy. She is a strong advocate for creating diverse and inclusive cultures across the investment management industry. Heather has more than 20 years of domestic and international investment experience. Prior to joining Diamond Hill, she was CEO, Americas with First State Investments, an investment management firm headquartered in Sydney, Australia. Before that, she spent nearly 14 years with Morningstar where she served as Global Head of Equity & Credit Research before advancing to CEO of Morningstar Australia. Heather is a long-standing member of the CFA Institute and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences.

During this time, she has covered a wide range of sectors, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, auto, business services, and retail.
Heather spent nearly 14 years with Morningstar where she served as Global Head of Equity & Credit Research before advancing to Chief Executive Officer, Morningstar Australia.
She held several positions analyzing both credit and equity at firms including Bank of America and Driehaus Capital Management.
