John Exley is Chief Executive Officer and Partner of Acorn Management Partners, a professional relations company that builds shareholder bases through financial professionals. When starting AMP, John realized the inability of most IR companies to execute their duties mainly because of the basic lack of understanding of the financial markets and the seemingly disregard of the current shareholder base. As the only company that has built a platform designed to replace lost retail support, AMP increases a client’s market awareness while decreasing liabilities. He put together a team of professionals with extensive market knowledge and contacts around the world that clearly understand the goal of building a public market. John has been in the financial services industry for the last 25 years, during which he was the owner of multiple OSJs for different regional broker-dealers.
Acorn is a global independent Institutional research company, representing independent, unbiased institutional research.
John and his team have created a new paradigm, "Professional Relations".
A registered Representative, he was responsible for training the sales force and he was the #1 producing representative out of 690 Brokers for 9 out of the last 11 years.
As SVP at Raymond James, he developed and managed private equities and institutional accounts with a focus on small and mid-cap companies.
He also served as SVP of Investments at JP Turner where he developed and managed private equities, personal, retirement and institutional accounts.
Throughout his career, he worked with the management teams of companies in development of their shareholder base.
