Marissa Kim is an asset investing veteran and General Partner at Abra Capital Management, a leading crypto wealth management platform. In her role, she leads the asset management business focusing on thematic investment in Web3, directional trading strategies and lending opportunities in the crypto markets for institutional and high net worth individuals. Marissa began working in the cryptocurrency investing space in 2017 and has been an early investor and advisor to many Web3 projects. Previously, she was a founder at Quantum Global Management, an investment firm focused on thematic investments in the Web3 space. Prior to that, she was a securities and capital markets lawyer focused on helping innovators in the blockchain and crypto ecosystem launch, raise capital and navigate and influence the regulatory landscape. She started her career as a lawyer in investment management at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher, and Flom LLP, where she worked closely with BlackRock and many other big asset managers, and has also held senior roles at several consumer technology start-ups.

Previously, she represented major financial institutions and Fortune 500 companies in all aspects of public and private company transactional practice.
She focused on corporate finance, public and private offerings, M&A, and the formation of hedge and PE funds at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.
She co-founded ARK, a strategic advisory and investment firm focused on the blockchain and digital asset space.
She also represented Wall Street banks with U.S. Securities laws, including the investment advisers act, investment company act, and FINRA.
Previously, she was VP of Partnerships at CoffeeTable and Director of Business and Legal Affairs at ipsy, a subscription-based cosmetic company.
