Mustafa Chowdhury

Mustafa Chowdhury is a rates guru and Chief Rates Strategist at Macro Hive, a provider of global macro and financial market research. Chowdhury has over 30 years of experience in the industry, having held senior positions at several leading firms, including Voya Investments, Deutsche Bank, Bear Stearns and Freddie Mac. He has extensive experience in trading, research, and portfolio management of G-10 macro rates, FX, and derivatives. Prior to joining Macro Hive, he was Managing and Head of Rates, FX, and Derivatives at Voya Investments, where he helped manage $40 billion of fixed income assets, and was also responsible for the Variable Annuity hedging desks. Before that, he was a Managing Director and Head of US Rates and MBS Strategy at Deutsche Bank, where he worked with some of the largest clients of the firm, including key central banks, hedge funds, and investment managers. He also served as a fixed income derivatives strategist for Bear Stearns. Before joining the banking sector in 1994, he started his career in academia.
