Peter Brandt
Peter Brandt is the Founder and CEO of Factor, LLC, a global trading firm operating in the proprietary capital, forex, futures, fixed income and equity markets. He is primarily engaged in trading proprietary capital, in addition to producing market research and managing the trading activities of several large institutional clients. Brandt is a classical chartist and a trading legend in the foreign exchange and futures markets since 1975, starting his career in the commodity industry. He is a veteran technical analyst considered as one of the world's foremost authorities on using classical charting principles to trade futures, forex, and crypto markets. In 1990, he published his first book, Trading commodity futures with Classical Chart Patterns, now considered a classic by many traders.

Factor research is based on four pillars: classical charting principles, aggressive risk management, the process of market speculation, and the importance of human elements in trading.
An audit of Factor LLC's proprietary trading performance conducted in 2011 documented the firm's annual compound ROR of 41.6%.
From the mid 1980s through the early 1990s Factor also traded managed funds for several large institutional clients.
Among the firm's institutional trading clients was Commodities Corporation ("CC") of Princeton, NJ, at the time one of the world's largest trading houses.
EARLY CAREER
Brandt entered the commodity trading business in 1976 with Conticommodity Services, a division of Continental Grain Company.
At Continental, he handled large institutional accounts for Campbell Soup Company, Oroweat, Godiva Chocolate, Swanson Foods, and others.
