Tom Bruni is the Editor-in-Chief and Community Vice President at Stocktwits, the largest social network for investors and traders, where he leads the company’s newswire, newsletters, and other publishing efforts. Tom is a prominent technical analyst who has been at the intersection of finance and media for the last decade. He holds both CPA and CMT licenses and is Co-Chair of the NYC Chapter of the CMT Association. Previously, he was the Founder and Editor of BruniCharting, a blog he launched during his freshman year in college to record his experience of learning about technical analysis and markets by trading his own capital. Tom was Head of Market Research and Publisher of The Daily Rip, Stocktwits' flagship market cap newsletter with over 1 million subscribers.
He was a Partner and Senior Technical Analyst at All Star Charts, where he authored over 1,500 pieces of both topical and evergreen Technical Analysis research content covering the US and international equity, fixed income, commodity, and currency markets.
He is spearheading a new effort to add news coverage to the user generated posts the platform has carried since 2009.
He learned about the top-down approach to technical analysis from JC Parets and began weaving it into his own process.
