Tyler Williams
Tyler Williams is a seasoned regulatory expert and the Counselor to the Secretary of the United States Department of the Treasury, advising on digital assets and blockchain policy. He also serves as Head of Regulatory and Legislative Affairs & Regulatory Counsel at Galaxy Digital, one of the most influential firms in digital asset finance, and lectures part-time at The George Washington University Law School. Williams brings over a decade of public service, having held senior government roles including Deputy Assistant Secretary for Financial Institutions Policy at the Treasury and prior positions in the U.S. Senate. Before entering the public sector, he worked in buy-side research, analyzing areas such as housing finance, payments, and fintech innovation across banking and insurance sectors.

BLOCKCHAIN EXPERTISE
Williams was appointed by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent for his expertise in crypto and digital assets regulation.
As Global Head of Policy, he led Galaxy Digital's policy development, regulatory engagement, and communications with the public sector.
He owned and operated his own financial services consulting firm in Washington, D.C., advising financial services companies and corporate leadership.
PUBLIC SERVICE
Williams previously served under Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, advising on digital asset regulation and financial policy.
He worked in both the Senate and House of Representatives, holding positions under Senator Thom Tillis and former House Speaker John Boehner, focusing on financial policy.
He worked on issues related to the integration of technology in both insurance and financial institutions, and regulatory matters in the payments industry.
His regulatory work also extended to housing finance, BSA/AML, the Terrorism Risk Insurance Program, among other issues.
