Mark Gabbay is the Executive Chairman of LaSalle Investment Management, one of the world’s leading global real estate investment managers. Previously, Gabbay served as Global Chief Executive Officer of LaSalle, where he was responsible for setting the firm’s long-term strategy and leading its global workforce while overseeing approximately $75 billion in assets under management. His responsibilities spanned investment strategy, capital allocation, and operational execution across North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region. With more than 30 years of experience in commercial real estate and global investment markets, Gabbay has built a distinguished career across both the United States and Asia-Pacific. Prior to joining LaSalle Investment Management, he served as Managing Director and Head of the Asia Asset Finance Division at Nomura, and as Co-Head of the Asia-Pacific Global Real Estate Group at Lehman Brothers, where he played a pivotal role in expanding the firm’s real estate debt and equity investment capabilities into new international markets.

Mark Gabbay joined LaSalle Investment Management in 2010 as Chief Investment Officer for Asia-Pacific, where he was responsible for shaping and executing the firm’s regional investment strategy.
In 2015, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer for Asia-Pacific, assuming full responsibility for investment performance, capital deployment, opportunity sourcing, and oversight of the end-to-end investment process across the region.
During his tenure, Gabbay was widely recognized as a central architect of LaSalle’s strong investment performance and sustained earnings growth throughout Asia-Pacific.
In 2026, he transitioned into the role of Executive Chairman of LaSalle Investment Management, continuing to provide strategic leadership and governance oversight for the firm’s global platform.
EARLY CAREER
Prior to joining LaSalle, Gabbay served as Managing Director and Head of the Asia Asset Finance Division at Nomura, where he led complex real estate financing activities across key Asian markets.
Earlier, he was Co-Head of the Asia-Pacific Global Real Estate Group at Lehman Brothers, playing a pivotal role in the firm’s expansion into new international markets for both real estate debt and equity investments.
He began building his Asia-focused real estate expertise in the late 1990s at GMAC Commercial Mortgage Corporation, where he served as Head of Real Estate Lending for Japan.
